A Sailors Wife's Cry!
I wake up thinkin I will see your face lying right next to me with your arm wrapped around me holding me tight. A smile comes across my face while I sit and dream. Waking you up with a gentle kiss and a soft I love you whispered in your ear. But as I wake up I jump back into reality. This horrible world that forces you to leave me. 45 days here, 25 there, and at once when it sems you have just came back to me your gone 6 months. To keep our countyr safe from harm. You give your life so others can keep theirs. The ungrateful people upset me the most. They would rather pay a football hero 60k to keep them entertained for 1 game and you 600 for 2 weeks willing to die for them to see another day. I feel safe knowing that you are out there, but part of me wants you here on land instead of an ocean away. I know one day you'll be back in my arms never to leave me again. Till then I lay here and cry my tears and try to face a day with out you here.

A year ago
A year ago September 11th, we watched our nation fall under attack. Thousands of inoccent lives lost. No one knows an exact reason why. We just cry our tears and pray for the ones we lost and try to move on.
A year ago I made a vow to take nothing for granted. To meet new people. To hold te ones I knew dear and to let them know each day what thye mean to me.
A year ago today I met someone online. We talked and got to know one another. We found out we grew up not too far apart in our home state of West Virginia. Now we were both living in Norfolk. Both far from family and friends. to keep my vow to myself I agreed to meet him.
One year ago today I met the most wonderful man. We started our as friends and within 24 ours became life long lovers.
A year ago and nation grew dim.
A year ago and nation grew spirit.
A year ago a once small broken heart grew with love.
A year ago I met you!
